Oleksandr Klymenko: the tragedy in Knyazhichi is the result of time-serving of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “under Avakov”

Arsen Avakov – the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – should resign after the firefight in Knyazhichi, which led to the death of six police officers. It was stated by Oleksandr Klymenko – the leader of the «Uspishna Kraina» – on his Facebook page.

“Nowadays, talking heads the Ministry of Internal Affairs will switch on its propaganda machine and think of some tales-excuses. There will be the only goal… to whitewash their governance. It is not just a tragic course of events as it was mentioned by Gerashchenko”, – the politician is confident.

Klymenko believes that the tragedy – is the result of incompetence of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, Arsen Avakov- the head of the Ministry – has been pursued his interests behind the scenes of the PR-reform related to the National Police. As a result, each department received its own “military secrets”, its patrons and own fields of “earnings.”

“Everything has been decayed and politicized. It is scaring. It is scared for ordinary people. How can we talk about the law and order in the state, when there is a war of law enforcement agencies against all?!”, – the politician wrote.

According to the leader of the “Uspіshna Kraina”, nobody trusts anyone in the law enforcement system, so do the ordinary citizens today.

Klymenko added that under current circumstance, Avakov, as the main guilty person for system mistake, should resign instead of going to Canada and telling about the reforms, which were carried out by him.

“It seems that PR is more important than the situation in the department … And in the country too”, – he concluded.

Let’s remind, on December 4, in Knyazhichi, Kyiv region, a firefight between the representatives of the State security and police detention group occurred during a special operation related to detention of robbers. As a result, two representatives of the State security, two police officers and member of the Ukrainian police’s special forces unit «KORD», who was a part of the detention group, were killed on the spot. Another police officer, who was wounded during a special operation, died in hospital.
