Klymenko stated that the accusations against him are politically motivated
Oleksandr Klymenko stated that all accusations against him, which were made by Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine, related exclusively to political motives and were not proved via evidences. Today I read another false accusation in media (made by Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine) against me. I believe that this is a unique gift for the New Year’s Day. For me it is obvious that the Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine is interested not in the PR charges. Nowadays, GPU is simply obliged to” prove the Europe” that sanctions were imposed not only on the grounds of association with the “Yanukovich regime”, – Klymenko wrote on his Facebook page, commenting the statement of Valery Karpuntsov, Senior Assistant Attorney General, about alleged suspect. According to him, he had already presented his arguments to European institutions. Consequently, he approved his letter addressed to Federica Mogherini – High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
In contrast to the Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine, I proved all the piquancy of the situation and demonstrated that here is just a political order. Meanwhile, justice and human rights in Ukraine – are empty words, it is Immutable verity in Europe. However, the agony of the Prosecutor General`s Office is clear and understandable. They seek for proving anything they want! Such position is beautiful. Though, I will not let to defame my name. GPU has no evidences and their accusations are empty, “- said the ex-minister
In addition, Klymenko believes that the accusations against him related exclusively to political motives and were not proved via evidences. “I am responsible for each my signature on every document during my work on government positions in Ukraine. And I’m not ashamed of my work on behalf of Ukraine and its people. Nowadays, my heart and my soul together with Ukraine”, – said the politician.
December 23, Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine informed Oleksandr Klymenko about suspicion of a criminal offense under Art. 191 para. 5, of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (seizure of state property in a large scale).
