anti-church laws – it is a step towards poroshenko’s dictaatorship and religious clashes, – oleksandr klymenko

The attempt of the authorities to forbid the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – it is a step towards Poroshenko’s dictatorship and a challenge that cannot be left unaccepted by Ukrainians. It was stated by Oleksandr Klymenko, the leader of the “Uspishna Kraina” party.

“Nowadays, I call on those people, who do not want to live in a country on behalf of Poroshenko’s dictatorship, to come and protect their right to faith. To protect our churches and temples from radicals and oppression!”, – the politician wrote on his Facebook page on the eve of prayerful standing under the Verkhovna Rada.

Scandalous draftlaws, which were worked out by MPs, were called “unacceptable and unconstitutional” by the politician. According to him, adoption of these documents will lead to a dictatorship of the power over church and will allow the seizure of temples.

The party of Klymenko joined the prayerful standing under the Verkhovna Rada. The “Uspishna Kraina”

came under the parliament demanding not to consider, not to adopt the above-mentioned draftlaws and refuse to play games with feelings of believers, not to provoke religious clashes in society.

“Our command today is exactly where it should be!” The threat above the Ukrainian canonical Orthodox Church – it is a challenge that should be accepted by Ukrainians… Joint prayer and mutual support – are our strength!”, –  the politician added.

During the prayerful standing under the Rada, activists of the “Uspishna Kraina” carried out a meal for all the gathered people due to the fact that discussion of anti-church draftlaws was protracting by the authorities.

Let us recall, nowadays, on May 18, the Verkhovna Rada will consider the draftlaws No. 4511 and No. 4128. In fact, both documents are aimed at fight against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

In addition, let us recall, Oleksandr Klymenko explained the reasons for games with feelings of believers carried out by the power in his article “Games with faith”. According to him, it comes about PR. However, the politician pointed at desire of the country’s leadership to minimize the influence on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The leader of the “Uspishna Kraina” suggests that the power can make a decision to adopt these draftlaws.
